An initiative association for citizenship and rights reviewed the “report” of Human Rights Watch, issued
on July 28, 2022, on what it called the rules of the game to hide the increasing repression in Morocco, which it edited in 99 pages and entitled: “Feik… you” and devoted this report to what it called “crooked and fraudulent tactics.” To silence activists and journalists.” It mentioned several cases that it says are cases of “repression” and unfair trials practiced by the authority to silence opponents. In its report, the organization referred to what it said was the use of pro-authority media to defame the targets. She says that these practices “when you look closely at them, complete rules of the game become clear to you to crush the opposition,” and then she invites Morocco’s international partners to realize “the reality of this repression and to demand its cessation, and to denounce Morocco audibly and clearly.”
This association has carefully read this “report”.
Moroccan and foreign parties accepted it in whole and in detail and cheered it upon its publication. While other parties opposed it , questioning the integrity of its motives and purposes.
As for the Initiative for Citizenship and Rights, which is committed to its principled premises, as an independent association, clinging to the nobility
of human rights principles and rejecting all improper exploitation of human rights for other purposes. It does not see that it is concerned with either confirming or denying the contents of the “human rights report” and the statements and testimonies of the persons who were used as evidence by: “Human Rights Watch”. This is because this association found itself in front of a strange report governed by a pre-existing intention that manifests itself in the various stages and chapters of this “report”, from its beginning to its end

It lacks accuracy, objectivity and integrity, which requires impartial confirmation of the authenticity of the information without selection and honesty in its transmission. 02- We found this report to be far from a report, and more like a statement of prejudice and a plea to condemn the authorities

Which made this report stand on one man and have a single direction, which is targeting the authority. It is worth noting here that this association is not in a position to defend this party or to target this one.

The report also used derogatory words such as “devious and deceptive tactics.”
04- The report included a position that contradicts the human rights nature claimed by this organization, when it considered those with a different opinion of its clients through their platforms and media sites, that they were harnessed by the authority to defame activists and opponents.
To be clear, this association does not target those who allied themselves with this organization. Rather, it considers that the matter is related to a discussion between Moroccans who have different positions, ideas and aspirations, and a different understanding of the issues. However, professional capacity and political activity do not absolve anyone of responsibility for their actions.
The Initiative Association for Citizenship and Rights does not fail to confirm that it considered the Moroccan government’s response insufficient because it was devoid of any procedures, and was limited to those words that everyone heard. Legal disincentives, accelerating the expansion of freedoms and upgrading the human rights scene in the country. On the other hand, it expresses its deep regret that “Human Rights Watch” does not respect the Moroccan human rights body, does not consult or cooperate with it, and produces reports on Morocco that lack technical determinants, which made it closer to being statements of political positions, rather than honest human rights reports. Which made us consider that this organization has become invasive year after year, which made it the subject of suspicions and slips that led some of its representatives to resign, as happened recently in Ukraine, and the grumblings expressed by some of its members in the Scandinavian countries, not to mention the criticisms previously expressed by its founder, Mr. Robert Bernstein regarding what he described as deviations. Not afraid that these disgraceful behaviors,
It greatly damaged the reputation of the international human rights movement, which allowed many of its enemies to direct their skeptical criticism
of the integrity and purposes of the international human rights body.
Accordingly, as much as we express our condemnation of the ambiguity that has become associated with some of this organization’s reports, the more we call on it to correct its course and stop its slippage and its escalating perversion and its distance from consulting with the human rights movement in the countries the subject of its reports, and to put an end to everything that makes it the subject of suspicions, and that includes informing the opinion The human rights and international public for the confiscation of its huge funds and the wealth of its managers.
